tonight begins the cadetian recording sessions. i have been taking pictures as we go along and will make sure anyone who wants to see them can. right now i am in co-habitation with a koto a harpsichord an air organ and many, many other play-things.
this album was started in 2002 when we entered zero return studios in atlanta. it is weird and interesting how things have turned out and i believe it will have an amazing effect on the finished product.

as for the title of this entry max, chad, and i were discussing how it is no longer taboo to call indie rock by its name. we were trying to figure out when and why this happened. it is a good thing to be sure, just curious. there was a post in the paxon school news paper that "defined" indie rock and what it means. i guess doing the rest of this album at home would fit its inadvertently funny definition.

I'm not exactly sure how I found paul fusco, I know that I think his work is important. If anyone thinks that humans do not have a huge effect on the earth and the environment take a look at this. I know this isn't exactly what people are talking about when the talk about the environment issue these days, but it is definitely part of the grand scheme. I am not a huge anti-pollution advocate,I throw my cigarette butts on the ground, I have been known to miss the trash can and not bend down to reconcile the mistake, but there is a line for everyone. I am not sure the link above has anything to do with that, I just know that it some how feels connected to all of the hullabaloo about the environment lately.

Grammaratocricy

Okay, I just Posted that last entry and Blanca and I got into a fight about my grammar. My hesitation to blog is because I know my grammar is unorthodox. I decided I like my run-on sentences and sentence splicing and all the other things I do wrong because it reads like I talk. I want to see what others think ... HONESTLY. Is my grammar so bad that I look like an idiot ..... or is it apparent that its just how I write and it reads just fine?????? Some response would be appreciated so that I can yell BOOYA to my conflagrant spanish woman.

I was headed back to the store (www.mooncolonyrazorblade.com) from riverside. Blanca was driving and we were going maybe 2 or 3 miles over the speed limit. Some cop, on foot, jumps out in front of us and points like uncle sam, another fat female cop starts screaming like we are stealing her fat child "SLOW DOWN ... SLLLLOOOOWWWWWW DDDOOWWWNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". Really come on now, is that what we spend our tax dollars on? If they were really trying to stop speeders wouldn't it be more effective to be in a car?

Thats not what I was wanting to write about, this is symbolic to me about the problems with this city. The future of our beloved Jacksonville is obviously in downtown, as it should be. Is there a way to redirect our resources? The generation that everyone has written off in jax because we are "lazy" is now taking control. Can we fix the parking problem dowtown? If we fix the problem dowtown will more people and buisinesses come? If there are parking meters in downtown why are they not in san marco and riverside? thats a way to level the playing field, right? won't that give people more incentive to move their places downtown? Whats with all these committees that resolve absolutely nothing? If we go to these community meetings will it help, or will it be a waste of time? Is there anyone out there who can represent us better than the people representing us now?

These are questions that I do not know the answer to, I hope that I will soon.

So I am still figuring all of this out, and trying to find time for this blogging business. Until then I kinda feel sorry for anyone who happens upon this lame ass site. I hope I can find my grounds soon and start to make this something I will do on a regular basis. I am hoping to talk about things going on around me, Music, Movies, blah blah blah.
