Mary's Very Eager Mother Just Served Us Nine _________ ?
A friend Betsy just called me and frantically told me that Pluto has just seceded from the federation of planets. We now only have eight planets in our solar system. Why did I have to hear this from a phone call, why was it not headline news?

I read an article about this on CNN today, and I'm very distraught. Accompanying the article is a short video that includes a testimony from a little girl stating that Pluto should still be considered a planet because "size doesn't matter."

The planet thing has been in the news for a couple of weeks now... When I was in Seattle, the news was actually that they were considering adding a couple of planets...

Yeah, I wish they had done that then would would have a planet named x-2716354 or something like that.
Imagine explaining this to my 30 fourth graders who are in the middle of a study of the solar system. talk about confusion..."But Mr. Champagne, the book says Pluto is a planet."
Fun stuff.
